The Simpsons: 10 Worst Characters Ever
8. Mr. Largo
One of the Simpsons most recent episodes, Girl’s In The Band, opens with Mr. Largo’s life in his uptown Springfield home. We see him and his husband (also called Dewey) getting ready for the day, with Mr. Largo reminiscing about his time as a musical prodigy.
After this opening, the episode quickly moves away to become Lisa centric, but it’s still more of a glimpse at Largo than we’ve ever gotten. Perhaps it’s important then that this episode wasn’t written by a staff writer, but instead by voice of Bart Simpson Nancy Cartwright, penning her first effort.
As someone who’s been with the show since the start, perhaps she too wants to get back to their focus on the more minor characters of the town. If Largo has received this treatment all the way through, he likely wouldn’t be on this list.
Ms. Hoover could’ve easily taken his place here, for similar reasons of always being there and never being utilised. However, he gets the nod because at least Hoover is able to bounce off Lisa, while Largo’s personality exists in more of a vacuum. He has good lines occasionally, but never really forms a dynamic with anyone.
