7. Donald Sutherland

Episode: Lisa The iconoclast (Season 7) It seems like The Simpsons was a popular choice in the Sutherland household. Kiefer, best known for repeatedly saving the world as Jack Bauer, has appeared on a few occasions, including the 24 spoof episode. However, it was his father Donald who became the first Sutherland on the show back in this Season 7 episode, in which he played Hollis Hurlbut, more commonly remembered as 'that guy who loved Jebediah Springfield'. As the new town crier, Homer insists the town's founder be dug up after revelations suggest Jebediah isn't the heroic man people know him to be. But before the truth can be found, Hurlbut snatches the silver tongue and disguises it with a Wild West costume in one of the displays at the Springfield Historical Society. It's a great performance, including a character that could've probably been used in other episodes, but a star that younger viewers might not have picked up on.
