Episode: Bart's Girlfriend (Season 6) The sixth season played host to one of Bart's most memorable love interests, and celebrity guest stars, as Meryl Streep rolled back the years to play Jessica Lovejoy. Three-time Oscar winner winner Streep plays the perfect part with both sides of Jessica; starting off as the angelic daughter of Reverend Lovejoy, and soon catches the attention of Bart. She's sweet and innocent, but soon reveals herself as a rebellious wild-child, and even Bart struggles to keep up with her antics. Streep reportedly turned up to the studios without an entourage, recorded her lines to perfection, and even asked Nancy Cartwright for an autograph. It's one of those performances where people will have seen the episode countless times, but some won't have even stopped to realise the voice belonged to a star about 40 years older than her on-screen character.
