The Simpsons: 15 Celebrity Appearances You Might Have Missed
10. Benedict Cumberbatch
Episode: Love Is A Many-Splintered Thing (Season 24) From one of Hollywood's veteran stars, to one of the hottest stars around today: Sherlock himself, Benedict Cumberbatch. For some reason, British cameos are always off-the-wall, completely daft, but usually entertaining on The Simpsons. Cumberbatch's appearance in a Family Guy-style cutaway is no exception. Homer and other husbands look to gain some romantic ideas the only way they know how, through watching British rom-coms. In this case, Love Indubitably is the film of choice during this 24th season episode. Cumberbatch plays the Prime Minister who declares his love for a secretary in Parliament, which triggers wild celebrations including stripping politicians, Doctor Who and Severus Snape, also played by Cumberbatch. The episode was one cup of tea and a scone away from accurately depicting the entirety of Britain. Of course.
