3. They Finally Did A Futurama Crossover
Fans of Matt Groening's other beloved show Futurama have been clamouring for this crossover for a long time. For a while it seemed like mere fan fiction, as did any possibility of a Family Guy crossover. However, in 2014 both of those fantasies became realities.
Right from the off the crossover announces itself, with Futurama favourite Hedonismbot featuring in the couch gag. Bender is the next on the scene, appearing in the Simpsons' basement and claiming to be from the future. He's on an important mission, he remembers that much. He just doesn't remember anything else. And rather than try to remember, he buddies up with Homer and drinks beer.
Lisa, ever the skeptic, doubts Bender is really from the future, and takes him to see Professor Frink. After a reboot, Bender remembers his true mission: to kill Homer Simpson. However, he decides not to, causing Farnsworth, Leela and Fry to travel back as well, to succeed where Bender failed.
Ultimately, as you might expect, Homer is not killed and everything resolves itself by the end credits. Before that though we get to see the Simpson family at Planet Express too, showing us that blend of worlds we've waited oh so long for.
