The Simpsons: 8 Episodes We Never Got To See
1. Dead Bart
Where to start with "Dead Bart"?
Well, it's probably worth noting that the episode isn't real. For years, there was an incredibly dark rumour cruising the Internet that claimed that Matt Groening - going through a tough time in his personal life - wrote an episode that saw Bart Simpson die, and followed his family and friends as they grieved.
Originally appearing on a Creepypasta site, it's very safe to assume that "Dead Bart" doesn't exist, but it's become such an important part of The Simpsons' mythology that it deserves a shout-out.
The Simpsons has touched on death rarely over the years, with few characters being entirely killed off the show (Maude Flanders, Bleeding Gums Murphy and Frank Grimes being some major exceptions), but "Dead Bart" would have taken things to new extremes, killing off a key member of the family in an episode with no real comedy.
Thankfully we've never seen it, but you can't help but wonder what such an episode would have looked like on-screen.
