How do you define 'recent' when it comes to The Simpsons? In most cases, eight years wouldn't necessarily be classed as recent, particularly when talking about a TV show, however this is different with The Simpsons. The series has been on TV since the 80s, and most people had given up on it long before 2013, and may not have seen 'Four Regrettings And A Funeral'.

The season 25 episode was itself rather forgettable, but it was during the opening credits that the most powerful moment occurred, and is the one thing that is actually worth seeing from this particular chapter in Simpsons history.

Marcia Wallace, the voice actor for Edna Krabappel, tragically passed away in 2013, and was paid tribute to by The Simpsons with a simple message from Bart in place of his usual lines that read 'We'll really miss you Mrs. K'. There have been moments that have brought a tear to the eye in The Simpsons, but few like this.

There was also an incredibly touching tribute to both the character and Wallace herself in season 32's 'Dairy Queen', with a small montage of Ned sweetly remembering his second wife.
