The Simpsons - All 15 Christmas Episodes Ranked

3. Skinner's Sense Of Snow

Merry Xmas - The Simpsons Homer
Fox

Season 12's Skinner's Sense of Snow is absolutely one of those Simpsons episodes that gets better with age. While it originally took flack for the nonsensical ending that portrayed Lisa as a camel-person hallucinated by Homer and Ned, you can easily look back on the first three quarters of the story as classic Simpsons.

From the DVD of Skinner's favorite Christmas movie featuring a grinch-like character, "The Christmas That Almost Wasn't, But Then Was" catching fire, to the school being snowed in and the children going all Lord of the Flies on Skinner, to their horror at him fixing the DVD (not to mention "Nibbles, chew through my ball sack!" - that poor hamster!) there are tons of memorable moments.

The biggest criticism at this point is that it's more of a winter episode than a Christmas episode, given the focus isn't really on the holidays, but the it does end with a Merry Christmas from the Simpson family, and there are enough holiday references that it passes muster in that department, unlike The Burns and the Bees or Kill Gil Volumes 1 & 2.
