The Simpsons: Every Crossover Episode Ranked - From Worst To Best
2. Futurama
Matt Groening's "other" show turned up on The Simpsons in season twenty-six as well, much like Family Guy. Only in this case, the shows melded together much more cohesively, helped no doubt by the fact that they share a creator.
With Futurama cancelled yet again, it was only fitting that their older, more successful sibling bring them back for one last (say it ain't so!) outing, for while The Simpsons got more of the acclaim, Futurama was often times the more innovative, funnier show.
The plot of the crossover episode, entitled Simpsorama, is simple: Bart, having unwittingly unleashed a horde of mutant bunnies in the future by adding his DNA to a time capsule, is blamed for what is more or less the apocalypse. Bender is sent back through time to kill Homer, Terminator style, as Homer has mistakenly been identified as the source of the rabbit creatures' DNA. Only he can't do the job, because he and Homer have become friends.
Much more organically funny than The Simpsons Guy, Simpsorama might rank as the single greatest crossover The Simpsons ever had, were it not for this next entry.
