The Simpsons: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best
21. Season 28
Despite being one of the show's most recent chapters, season 28 actually has quite a bit going for it. On the one hand, there's the hour-long spoof of The Great Gatsby and the TV show Empire, which is as ambitious as it is laugh-out-loud funny, and on the other hand there's "Pork and Burns," where the family attempt a minimalistic lifestyle and Homer considers getting rid of his pet pig, Plopper.
Along with solid parodies of the game Pokemon Go and the documentary series 30 For 30, season 28 makes a decent ride.
Unfortunately, though, between the slow start of the earlier episodes and escapades following Homer's new interest in chess and Grampa's need for medical care, large swathes of the season are lost to mundane recycling of more accomplished episodes.
