The Simpsons: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best
19. Season 18
By this point in the show's run, all the signs were pointing toward it having passed its peak. Season 18, whilst not doing quite enough to silence fans' worries, at least has enough good episodes to keep itself afloat.
From Bart's foray into jazz drumming to the iconic double episode focussing on Gil moving in with the family, the season carries with it a lot of what made the earlier seasons so good, but doesn't do enough to make itself stand-out over its twenty-two episode run.
The best episode is undoubtedly "Please Homer, Don't Hammer 'Em," which sees Bart and Skinner engage in an epic, Star Wars parody duel, whilst Homer and Marge tackle gender equality. The rest of the episodes aren't enough to reach such excellent heights, and keeps the season from ranking any higher.
