The Simpsons: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best
18. Season 27
Season 27 starts off with Homer and Marge breaking up and dating other people, and the results set up yet another uninspired series of episodes. But despite the slow start, which is exacerbated by Patty moving in with the family and Lisa befriending a spoilt rich girl, the season does begin to pick up in the middle.
Tackling Bart's possible sociopathy, Lisa's hopes to become a veterinarian, and Marge and Lisa's rocky relationship, season 28 comes complete with a handful of episodes that wouldn't have felt out of place in season 9 or 10.
Even with the slow start and some tonal inconsistencies, season 27 is certainly one of The Simpsons' best from its later years.
