The Simpsons: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best

30. Season 21

The Simpsons
20th Television

Season 21 gets off to a clunky start thanks to the uninspired Seth Rogen-penned "Homer the Whopper," and doubles down on its weaknesses with the just plain-awful "The Devil Wears Nada," wherein Marge models for a calendar and becomes a sex symbol.

As with its predecessor, this is a season focussed on tired old themes. There's little in the way of innovation or daring, and though many of the episodes have sparks of hilarity scattered within them - "Rednecks and Broomsticks" and "The Greatest Story Ever D'Oh" are particular highlights - there's not a lot there that separates it from the pack.

Like the season before it, season 21 ends up a disappointingly forgettable affair which has too many celebrity guest stars and nothing worth getting invested in.

I get to write about what I love, so that's pretty cool. Every great film should seem new every time you see it. Be excellent to each other.
