The Simpsons: Every Season Ranked Worst To Best
29. Season 24
As The Simpsons has worn on, the writers have continuously shown their biggest tool to be the latest trends in society. The show has never strayed from mockery or social satire, and season 24 does a lot well in that regard, as Springfield is overrun by hipsters, Marge (accidentally) uses a dating site for married couples, and Homer gets invested in 50 Shades of Grey.
It's all pretty standard stuff, let down in the end by yet another over-reliance in celebrity guests and a lack of originality that sees Reverend Lovejoy removed from the church (again), Bart struggle to maintain a relationship (again), and Grampa revealing another far-fetched part of his past (again). Not bad, exactly, just predictable and uninspired.
