The Simpsons: Every Sideshow Bob Episode Ranked Worst To Best
12. Funeral For A Fiend (Season 19, Episode 8)
Having had his new life in Italy ruined by the Simpsons, Sideshow Bob returns to Springfield with a new scheme: Lure the family to a fake new restaurant, then blow them up once they get inside.
Brining Frasier's David Hyde Pryce back as Bob's brother Cecil and introducing John Mahoney as their father Bob Snr, Funeral for a Fiend works best as a self-aware satire of its guest stars and Bob's love for twist-within-a-twist plans.
There are flaws -- the episode's opening subplot about TiVo and its anti-climactic finale -- but none that quite takes away from the joy of seeing three brilliant guest stars having a blast working together again.
It's a middle of the road Sideshow Bob shenanigan overall, but it'll leave you smiling ear-to-ear. The final shot of Bob's family in jail playing cards whilst Bob losing his mind is an absolute gut-buster.
