The Simpsons: Every Sideshow Bob Episode Ranked Worst To Best

Bar one episode, which we'll get to, there's a good chance that Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming features his most nonsensical ploy, in which he blindly threatens to blow up Springfield unless they get rid of all television.

It's an admittedly bonkers plan, even by Bob's standards, and the episode is slightly tripped up by its attempts to balance so many of the town's different residents, but Sideshow Bob's Last Gleaming is still one of Bob's best misadventures, capturing the pretentiousness and surprising ineptitude of the former clown.

If there was a stronger link between Bob's plan and Bart's subplot, the episode would be even better than it already is, but consider Bob crashing harmlessly into Krusty or Kelsey Grammer on helium, and its flaws are easy to overlook.

By this point, Sideshow Bob's quirks have been well established and perfected, but Last Gleaming still finds a way to pile on some effective twists.
