The Simpsons: Every Treehouse Of Horror Ranked Worst To Best

Maybe it's just me, but I find the Simpsons episodes that include Kang and Kodos as main characters a little tiresome: they're too much like The Great Gazoo episodes of The Flintstones and they run out of gas way too quickly. That's probably why the characters are kept to sporadic cameos in the Treehouse episodes.

This episode saw a long-awaited E.T. parody, which unfortunately wasn't all that great, and a Mr & Mrs Smith segment that is just preposterous in hindsight. Mr & Mrs Smith is not a horror movie, so seeing it parodied here is a little annoying to say the least. And it's not like it's a truly great film.

The big redeeming factor for this episode comes in the shape of the Se7en parody Heck House that sees Ned Flanders return as the Devil. It's definitely a damn sight better than the other two chapters, and the fact that it's set at Halloween certainly helps.
