The Sopranos: 10 Funniest Paulie Moments

4. Visiting A Psychic (From Where To Eternity. Season 2, Episode 9)

As a brutal and often hard hitting depiction of the American gangster, The Sopranos predominantly favours realism over acts that typically defy the laws of nature.

To disrupt this approach, David Chase frequently used the oddball characteristics of Paulie to interpret the supernatural entities of the show. Whether it be seeing the Virgin Mary in the Bada Bing! or the before mentioned physic cat, Paulie has had a fair share of abnormal experiences.

In season two, Paulie decides to visit psychic after he and Tony received a troubling message from a recovering Chris, who claimed that he had been to hell.

Paulie is understandably sceptical at first and initially laughs off the psychic's methods. But that quickly changes when the psychic makes contact with the many ghosts of Paulie's past. All questions regarding the psychic's authenticty are put to rest when he directly names Paulie's first kill and then makes reference to the 'poison ivy' incident in season one related to the killing of Mikey Palmice.

This terrifies Paulie who demands answers, before then throwing a chair in frustration. Maybe the supernatural is real after all...
