The Sopranos 4 Best Moments - Remembering James Gandolfini

Livia€™s Funeral

In a show with so many deaths (some natural, some less so), it€™s no surprise that The Sopranos had its fair share of funerals too. Of all the wakes and burials featured, Livia Soprano€™s has to be the most awkward. Janice corrals everyone into the great room and encourages them to share their memories of Livia. Christopher, who is high, begins a rambling monologue which he fails to conclude and Carmella drinks too much and dishes out some truths about her mother-in-law. Tony says little, but broods heavily; his anger obvious despite his wordlessness. This episode (Proshai, Livushka) is famous for two creepy incidents. Firstly Pussy Bonpensiero, who was killed at the end of series 2, is seen reflected in a mirror. Later when Janice begins the remembrance a strange figure is seen on the stairs behind Tony. The man walks halfway down the stairs before retreating back upstairs. It has been suggested that the man was an extra who entered the scene by mistake. Other people say he€™s a young Junior Soprano or the ghost of Tony€™s father, Johnny Boy. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kQrQcAzMb8E RIP James Gandolfini, 1961- 2013 --- This post was written by Em Buchanan.
