3. #7: The White Violin, Aka Vanya Hargreeves
The White Violin, aka Vanya Hargreeves was raised to believe that she didn’t possess any powers at all. Sir Reginald Hargreeves was very rough on her as he regularly reminded her that she was not special. This would cause her to later write a book describing all the details of her years of abuse as a member of The Umbrella Academy.
In Apocalypse Suite, it is revealed she's actually the most powerful member of the Academy. The medication she was taking, along with her father’s bullying, were meant to keep her from unleashing her dangerous powers.
After becoming The White Violin, she became able to channel her powers through her violin playing. The music she created yields a destructive force that could slit someone’s throat all the way to being able to hurl a chunk of the Moon at the Earth.
Ellen Page will star as Vanya. The Juno and X-Men star will be playing a very pivotal character in the first arc of the comics. Paige’s Vanya will go through a journey of self-revelation that will put her at odds with the heroes she once called her siblings.
