The Umbrella Academy Season 2: 10 Shocking Comic Moments That Must Happen

Currently, the Umbrella Academy series is roughly halfway through, with its third volume, the Hotel Oblivion storyline, having finished in June of 2019.

And, true to form, the current volume ends on a huge cliffhanger, as the Umbrella Academy are assisted in taking down all the escaped villains by another team of superheroes. Given this universe is supposed to have no other superheroes - and the team have the exact same numerical naming conventions as our protagonists - this ending heavily suggests that the team's mentor, Sir Reginald Hargreeves, has created other metahuman groups unbeknownst to the Academy members.

Should season 2 contain the main Hotel Oblivion storyline, it'd be delightful to see it also end with the introduction of this new, mysterious team, as it presents even more questions about Hargreeves' decision to make the Umbrella Academy itself.
