The Umbrella Academy Season 2: 10 Things That Must Happen
1. Rogue Lincoln Memorial
For all the first series had some out there moments, they barely scratched the surface of how absolutely off the wall Gerard Way’s original comic was. Without a doubt, the craziest storyline yet involved Abraham Lincoln, and it would be brilliant if Netflix found a way to get it into Season 2.
As previously discussed, the US President can clearly have a huge impact on the lore of The Umbrella Academy, but this goes above and beyond. In the Dallas storyline, the Academy ends up battling not with Lincoln himself, but with the Lincoln Memorial statue brought to life.
Since it’s likely Dallas will form a considerable part of Season 2, and this headline moment therefore needs to be a part of it. Having it occur as a flashback to open the entire series, as happens in the comics, would put down a massive marker for the show too.
Unfortunately though, Netflix shows rarely have budgets that Hollywood blockbusters do; or if they do, they need to be spread out over a whole series. If they bring in the animated Lincoln, it needs to look good. However, if Pogo is anything to go by, Lincoln’s going to look amazing.
