The Umbrella Academy Season 2: Every Academy Member Ranked From Worst To Best
6. Klaus
There should be absolutely no doubt in anyone's mind that Klaus is one of the greatest characters this show can boast. He is charming, he is funny, and he is utterly unique. Robert Sheehan's CV of playing zany, interesting characters made him the perfect choice for Number Two, and his performance is nothing short of wonderful.
As far as being an actual member of the Umbrella Academy goes however, he doesn't offer a great deal. In the Avengers style opening to season two, Klaus brings a lot to the fight with his almost Lord of the Rings-esque army of the dead, headlined by Ben, but after that his impact basically stops.
His is a power that is really only useful in certain situations, and while he could have used it to bring Ben back into the family, he instead told the rest of the Academy that ghosts couldn't travel through time.
Instead of contributing, Klaus spent the majority of season two freaking out Dave before he'd technically even met him, leading and/or running away from his newly formed cult, and falling off the wagon after three years of sobriety. A drunk Klaus is very little use to anyone.
