Though he likes to put on a lone wolf, bad ass exterior, there is a certain honour to Diego. Deep down, he has a heart of gold. Through the panic of finding himself alone, 60 years in the past, he still actively tried to be a hero, by stopping one of the most famous assassinations in history.

His problem, however, was that he was too gullible, or too stupid, to get very far on his own. In such a short span of time, he fell for Lila's lies, he needed his life saving on more than one occasion, and he missed the deadline to get back to 2019.

He didn't even manage to save the President after all, and was stabbed in the gut by his own father. Surely, he should have been able to take down an old man with little trouble. Plus, along with his dim-witted brother, he began scouring the phone book for anyone named Öga For Öga, without taking just five seconds to think about it.

For all his faults however, what Diego did offer the team in season two was his loyalty, actively pushing for his siblings to join him as part of 'Team Zero'. He never gave up on his mission or his family, and showed a ridiculously impressive feat of strength in holding back a barrage of the Commission's bullets Magneto style, allowing Number Five to escape unharmed.
