The Umbrella Academy Season 2: Ranking EVERY Character From Worst To Best
3. Allison
While Allison Hargreeves always had potential, much of her Season 1 arc (which was admittedly engaging) was undercut by the fact that almost all of the events that drove her actions ultimately took place off-screen. Thankfully, this is something that was immediately corrected in the second season.
Having landed in 1961, Allison immediately found herself on the wrong side of racism. Her understandably strong desire to change this quickly drove her to do something about it, and that's exactly what she did. Finding love in the midst of it all, she and her new husband Raymond campaigned for civil rights in a narrative that was so compelling, its realism ultimately enhanced the show.
It was made all the more interesting by the fact that Allison is a character whose morals have almost always been in the right place, and now she found herself in a time that was more than willing to test those morals on a daily basis. This, along with the internal struggles over keeping secrets from Raymond, gave Emmy Raver-Lampman some incredible material to work with.
She also became more accustomed to her powers, suggesting that the hero known as Rumor could end up becoming even more powerful than the first season suggested - rounding out what was an strong year for Allison Hargreeves.
