5. Lila Is A Vital New Addition To The Cast

Several new cast members join the roster this year, though none more memorably than Ritu Arya as Lila, a young woman who ends up committed to an insane asylum along with Diego (David Castañeda) at the start of the season.

And while it's not much of a spoiler to say that romance blooms between the two, Lila is thankfully so much more than a mere replacement love interest for Diego.

Lila has a significant role in the season far beyond anything allowed to be revealed in this review, and thanks to Arya's deliciously sarcastic rendition, she quickly becomes one of the entire series' most appealing characters.

Disrupting an established ensemble with a quirky new character is always risky, but here it pays off dividends.
