The Voice: 5 Reasons It's Completely Underrated
4. It Is A Feel-Good Show
Although we all love Simon Cowells biting comments and seeing contestants running off screaming, there is something healthy in enjoying such a positive programme. Holly Willoughby has repeatedly described the show as feel-good, presumably meaning that the coaches and everyone backstage are happy to be there and to help the contestants wherever possible- the horror! When everyone on stage and around the stage is having a good time, its hard not to enjoy the ride with them.
Jessie J runs up to hug anyone who cries, everyone receives extremely constructive criticism (it is useful that each judge explains why they didnt want to turn around) and no one goes away feeling that sad even when they didnt get through because they enjoyed the experience of being there so much. To those who need their Saturday night round of cattiness The Voice wont be satisfactory, but it is a nice positive way to spend an hour or so a week.
