The Voice: 5 Reasons It's Completely Underrated

4. It Is A €œFeel-Good€ Show

Teh Voice

Although we all love Simon Cowell€™s biting comments and seeing contestants running off screaming, there is something healthy in enjoying such a positive programme. Holly Willoughby has repeatedly described the show as feel-good, presumably meaning that the coaches and everyone backstage are happy to be there and to help the contestants wherever possible- the horror! When everyone on stage and around the stage is having a good time, it€™s hard not to enjoy the ride with them.

Jessie J runs up to hug anyone who cries, everyone receives extremely constructive criticism (it is useful that each judge explains why they didn€™t want to turn around) and no one goes away feeling that sad even when they didn€™t get through because they enjoyed the experience of being there so much. To those who need their Saturday night round of cattiness The Voice won€™t be satisfactory, but it is a nice positive way to spend an hour or so a week.
