The Voice: 5 Reasons It's Completely Underrated

1. Genuinely Good Singers

The Voice It is the basic premise of the programme, but most of its values come from the fact that the coaches can€™t see the performers. Even unintentionally, it is easy to subconsciously judge an act on their style choices, general appearance, age and stage presence, especially when working with a rough idea of an end result in your head, like the prize at the end of this competition. In acknowledging that this happens and taking away the possibility of it happening, the coaches literally only have the voice that they hear behind them to go on. Also, due to the producers€™ auditions before the blind auditions in which they keep a deliberately high calibre of singer (again, unlike ITV€™s shows who clearly have a quota of awful acts too), every single singer has the potential to deserve a place on the coaches€™ teams- nerves allowing, of course- so this is the show to watch if the quality of music is what matters to you. The four coaches even team up with their contestants for performances in the late stages of the competition, so when four high-profile singers like this are singing with unsigned talent, you know they must be good- and if they€™re not quite good enough, they will work hard to make themselves seem worthy. Say anything you like about The Voice, and disagree with any of the other points, but the music on here is better than any other of its kind and that should be what matters. Do you agree?
