Aliens. It's simple. If there's anything humans can't understand, there's clearly only one solution. Aliens. A lesser-known, yet fairly popular, fan theory suggests that The Walking Dead is a more efficient, refined alien invasion than the likes of War Of The Worlds. In the film, it is bacteria that finishes the extra terrestrials, but some believe that in TWD, aliens are sewing the seed of disease on Earth to pave the way for colonisation. Yes, it's insane, but can you imagine the hysteria if Kirkman & Co. ever pulled off anything quite this daring? As much as I think there's a heart-pounding yet feasible ending at the end of this tunnel, I almost think 'aliens' could be do-able. The aliens can't be bothered to exterminate humans by force, but they deploy a chemical weapon that would see humans go all genocidal on themselves. I'm willing to bet all of my possessions and several limbs that it won't happen, but the scenes would be completely ridiculous, stunning, confusing and amazing in equal measures.
