And just like that, the wait for next February has begun. As with seasons past, the first half of The Walking Dead's sixth season featured a number of character losses, some welcome, some not. Surprisingly, though, fans managed to scrape through the run without having to say goodbye to any major characters on the level of, say, Hershel, Beth, or Tyreese in recent years. Despite the show doing its hardest to convince everyone Glenn was gone, the first eight episodes of the season were ultimately peppered almost entirely with 'smaller deaths'. While the back half of the season certainly promises to change that, thanks to Sam's inability to keep quiet and the impending arrival of Negan, we'll have to wait to see how the deaths across the season as a whole stack up to some of the best deaths the first five seasons had to offer.
