10. Erin

The Episode: JSS Erin, we hardly knew you. (Seriously, we didn't.) As one of Alexandria's many throwaway residents, Erin hardly made an impact on the series or fans before being gutted by one of the Wolves. However, her passing was memorable for what it did to highlight the fracture that's been developing in Carol's own mind. When Carol mercy killed Erin - both to end her suffering and prevent her from calling the Wolves' attention to them - we got our first real look this season at our favorite lady Rambo cracking under the weight of all she's grown to be capable of. Despite initially trying to distance herself from the Alexandrians when the group had first arrived, having to put down her own friend and crying about it went a long way towards showing how Carol has become attached in spite of herself, giving Erin's death some resonance thanks to how engaging Carol has been as a character over the last few seasons.
