You know, before his interactions with our group of nominal heroes and the Whisperers stripped the last vestiges of his idealism away from him and left behind the ruthless warrior we now know and may not get to love for much longer?

Losing your innocence is never easy (just ask poor Carl), and despite his relative affinity for Carol, Aaron not only voted for Negan’s death in Alexandria but even almost killed the antiheroic Whisperer defector when the two crossed paths on the battlefield.

It does seem likely that Aaron, slower to forgive Negan than Carol, may act rashly in order to take out the Lucille-wielder, but that’s not the only thing likely to see him bumped off—he’s also got to be high on Beta’s kill list, now that his leader Alpha is dearly departed and Aaron’s group are responsible. Really not safe on any side there, Aaron.
