3. The Whole Town Of Woodbury

Having elected to put their lives in the hands of the Governor, the people of Woodbury thought that they were keeping themselves safe. But little did they know that living a comfortable life behind the perimeter walls, they would become as brain dead as the zombies they are escaping from. The whole town is full of idiots who blindly follow anyone with a gun. They believe anything anyone tells them without any questions and by the time they realise that something is bit fishy, the majority of them wind up dead. This whole gated community was an opportunity for the writers to explore how some people would exist in a bubble when the world has gone belly up. But they were all cardboard scene fillers. There was no difference between them shuffling around and the zombies outside. You could argue that it was clever way for the writers to make an analogy between the zombies and the citizens of Woodbury who dont think for themselves. But the whole focus was on giving time to the Guv and a select few of his inner circle. We were expected to just believe that there are other people who form this community and leave it at that. They wasted the town of Woodbury and didn't explore a fraction of the potential it offered. After all the hype and build up, it just left you underwhelmed.
