The Walking Dead: 10 Deaths You Didn't Actually See Happen

1. Glenn

Glenn€™s not dead. That is all. In all seriousness, the whole €œis he, isn€™t he€ thing has added a huge level of excitement to an already action-packed season thus far. Glenn is an incredible character, and I don€™t think this cliff-hanger would have worked with anyone else. Glenn isn€™t protected by the plot/fanbase like Rick, Carl or Daryl, and he€™s more popular than lower-level characters such as Abraham and Maggie, so it really wouldn€™t have worked as well with anyone else. If you haven€™t seen it, Glenn and Nicholas were stood atop a dumpster in an alleyway overrun with walkers, and when Nicholas turned his gun on himself and pulled the trigger, the two fell into the sea of walkers. The next shot looks like Glenn is being disembowelled, but it is heavily theorised that the organs being eaten are none other than Nicholas€™, and Glenn is going to roll to safety under the dumpster and await help. I stand by the €œGlenn is still alive€ argument, but The Walking Dead has done this kind of thing before. It wasn€™t on a scale quite as big, but a whole half-season was spent on whether or not Sophia was still alive. It€™s not unheard of for the show to present the prospect of hope only for an undead version of your hero to take it back. Glenn is too big of a character to give such a (at the time) measly demise, and at this point, if he is actually alive, I hope he doesn€™t go down the route of his graphic novel counterpart, because the character has been through too much at this stage, and could still be a major player for seasons to come. Whether he€™s alive or not, however, it has been so much fun to play CSI: Apocalypse and pinpoint the how, where and when Glenn could make it out alive. Hopefully the big reveal is as rewarding as it deserves to be.
