9. Ana
Not much is known about the character of Ana, other than the fact that she and Sam escaped a Refugee Camp after a fire broke out, and Sam ended up saving her before the camps inhabitants could trample her to death. This led to a bond forming between the two, and Anas leg being injured, which didnt heal right and prevented her from moving quickly. The pair came across Rick and Carol in Season 4, and after splitting up to look for supplies, Rick and Carol would come across a group of walkers gnawing on Anas dead body, discernible by the tattoo on the severed leg that accompanied it. We never did see the events that led to her demise, or why Sam would flee the scene instead of seeking help from Rick and Carol after presumably watching his girlfriend get torn apart by walkers. Some fans have theorised that Sam abandoned Ana as walkers surrounded them, knowing that she wouldnt be able to escape. Whether he did or not, Sam would soon suffer an equally haunting fate in Terminus, having his throat slit at a trough in one of the series most disturbing and intense scenes yet.
