The Walking Dead: 10 Dumbest Character Decisions

9. Rick Brings Randall To The Farm

What do you do when somebody is shooting at you? You save their life and bring them back to your place of safety of course! And that is exactly what Rick, Hershel, and Glenn do when they find Randall with his leg impaled on a fence. Instead of leaving him as zombie chow, they forcibly remove his leg from the fence, blindfold him, and take him back to Hershel's farm. Only it turns out he went to school with Maggie so he knows their location. This leads to a whole debate about whether they should kill him or not, which eventually leads to torture. The decision to save this guy, while noble in intention, was a poor one because it went nowhere and complicated the situation at the farm. Randall certainly didn't benefit from being saved, as all it lead to was him being jerked around and tortured while the group tried to decide what to do with him. Shane ended up killing him anyway, so it was all pointless. All this could have been avoided had they never bothered to bring him back in the first place. The thought was nice, but the outcome wasn't positive for anyone involved, especially him. Frankly he would have been better off left for dead on that fence.
