The Walking Dead: 10 Huge Questions For Season 10's Finale
1. Are We Heading Into The Endgame?
You can’t help but feel like we’re heading towards some sort of climax for the Walking Dead franchise. It’s been stated time and time again how long AMC wants the show to go on for, but naturally stories reach end-points, even if it goes on to continue at some later point in another form. Is the Walking Dead about to reach its own endgame?
There’s a lot of pieces on the chess board at the moment. The main show is moving onto the Commonwealth arc, which is the final arc before the comics ended. Fear the Walking Dead heads into its sixth season with declining ratings every year, World Beyond is pre-planned to be two seasons, and in the foreseeable future we will get a Rick Grimes trilogy.
With all of these communities and puzzle pieces introduced, It makes sense that the Walking Dead could be reaching some sort of 'final battle' that will tie all the stories together. How exactly this will play out is yet to be explained, but with more and more crossover between the films and movies, it could look like the 3rd and final Rick movie could tie in with the show and have both stories collide to finish. How this looks compared to the comics is yet to be seen, but it looks like Scott Gimple has a plan.
We’ll find out more when the next episode drops (whenever that may be) and the franchise expands yet again with the release of World Beyond later this year.
