6. Karen

You could be forgiven for not remembering who Karen is. You could even be forgiven for not knowing who she is even after looking at the image of her. You may remember her more ominously as one of the two charred corpses burned by a mystery murderer (who later transpired to be Carol) in order to save the prison from a potential walker plague. Karen's death has major implications with regards to Carol's relationship with Rick, her boyfriend Tyreese, and the rest of the group. Things pan out differently in the comic books, but the TV show gives more prominence to Carol's character, and finishing off Karen was a catalyst for her turning into a woman ready to protect the group by any means possible.
