7. Spoiling Beth's Death
Beth Greene became something of a hidden gem as the show progressed, with the character receiving some of the best development that we'd seen. A soft-spoken tender young woman, she eventually hardened in order to equip herself for the world around her and the unexpected transformation had fans really invested in her character journey.
The decision to kill her off in the fifth season after all that would have been more than enough to make fans furious, but the death itself was overshadowed by AMC's baffling decision to actually post a tribute to the character on Facebook immediately after the episode aired, essentially spoiling it for not just the West Coast but the network's global social media following.
After a massive backlash, the Walking Dead Facebook page issued an official apology to the fans, using the hashtag RIP Spoiler - a reference to the earlier post which simply stated RIP Beth.
