6. Jesus' Death

Jesus' unexpected death in the show's ninth season should have stung just like every other major character death that nobody saw coming, but for fans it stung that little bit more simply because of how underutilised he had been throughout the course of his run on the show.

When fans heard that Paul 'Jesus' Rovia would be making his debut on the show in Season 6, they were excited at the prospect of seeing one of the comics' most badass and compelling characters come to life on-screen.

A trickster of sorts and an impeccable fighter - not to mention one of the few gay characters in the pack - we only saw glimpses of Jesus' brilliance throughout his time on the show. While Tom Payne always made for an exhilarating watch, it just felt like the writers weren't interested in giving him anything of real importance, so when they finally did in Season 9, it really pissed fans off when he was ripped away from them so suddenly.
