The Walking Dead: 10 Most Shocking Moments Of 2015

1. Glenn's 'Death'

I weighed Glenn's 'death' scene up for a long time before deciding to pin it at Number 1. It was a choice between the bottom spot and the top spot. There's more than enough justification for both, but he's perched in the latter. When Glenn fell from the dumpster, he became the most high-profile victim in the history of The Walking Dead. We've watched him develop from boy to man since the very start of it all, and as he tumbled, all of our eyes widened. 'This is actually happening,' we told ourselves. He was shrouded in the undead, and that was the end. It was an incredible deviation from the comic books, so the decision to kill Glenn was brave, bold, crazy, but served the purpose of stunning the audience like never before. We obviously didn't want Glenn to die, but it was an undeniably fantastic scene. And that's where I should be leaving the section, surely? Well, no. You see, this immense death scene was totally undermined by the fact that it wasn't actually a death scene. The wait to confirm Glenn's fate grew tedious and drawn out but it was eventually revealed that he'd escaped in a horribly contrived manner. As much as I like the character, it blew some hefty holes in The Walking Dead's credibility in my eyes, but forgetting the comeback, the initial death scene was a stunner.
