The Walking Dead: 10 Reasons It's The Most Annoying Show On TV

1. Potential Vs. Reality

The Walking Dead Tv Simply put, The Walking Dead seems like it should be so much better than it actually is. After all, it's coming from the same channel that brought us Mad Men and Breaking Bad. Its central premise is terrific. It looks great, with some of the most entertaining zombie effects ever seen on screen. But for whatever reason, it feels like it's not as good as it could be, and it's hard to get away from the feeling. The occasional great moments and standout episodes prove that it can be as amazing as we all probably imagined it was going to be in the beginning, but overall the execution is just lacking. Perhaps if it was a network show we wouldn't hold it to such a high standard, but given the pedigree of AMC and what they have achieved elsewhere, we just expect more. After four seasons, it may have reached its breaking point. How many shows have their best seasons this late on? Maybe there are future stories from the comic books that can turn it around or something, but after they blew it with the Governor (who seems to be the series' best villain), it's hard to have much hope for the future of The Walking Dead. Maybe we should just be happy that we have a pretty good zombie show and that it's one of the few programs on TV that isn't afraid to be strictly for grownups, then? What have I missed? Or am I being too harsh on the show? Let us know in the comments section.
