The Walking Dead: 10 Things Season 6 Has Got Horribly Wrong (So Far)

1. Inconsistency

I'd say this final point summarises everything wrong with The Walking Dead Season 6A, and probably the series as a whole. I really do enjoy watching it, I can't wait for the next half of the season to roll around, but if nothing else, the writers need to return to producing consistency. The first three episodes were great, the fourth was enjoyable, then 5 was pure filler, 6 happened, 7 set up an incredible finale...which fell a little flat in some places. You can't have an incredible worldwide TV series whereby your main characters are sidelined for half of it, where a third of the episodes are duds, fringe characters are stagnated beyond belief, storylines are heavily teased and never explored, and villains that have been built-up for a year fade away with little more than a whimper. If The Walking Dead can provide dramatic, focused episodes and lose the enormous baggage it's carrying, the show has a chance to really hit a new high, and I'm not giving up hope on that, but if it continues to plod along on its current course, don't expect Rick & Co. to last a whole lot longer in the spotlight...
