2. "We Are The Walking Dead"
This famous line comes from a key moment in the comics, one which we could easily be heading towards in the show. In the comics, Rick gets in a fight with Tyrese over him cheating on Carol with Michonne, blaming Tyrese for her recent suicide attempt. Tyrese claims in the fight that Rick is insane for the things that he has recently done while in the prison with a lot of dirty secrets being aired in public, regarding exactly just what Rick has done to protect them. The fight is broken up by Andrea revealing that Allen has died after recently having his leg amputated by Rick, and after Rick shoots him so that he doesn't come back a s azombie, he mysteriously blacks out. When Rick comes too, Dale lets him know that they have all decided that they don't want him in charge anymore as they think all the pressure is getting to him and some even fear that he is going insane. Rick seems relieved to no longer be solely in charge as he is told that a small group, made up of him, Tyrese, Dale and Hershel, will make all the major decisions for the group. Rick then goes outside to speak to everyone else about the descision and explains about exactly what he has done to protect the group and in the process utters the famous line:
"We are the Walking Dead."
Now while I doubt that in the show they will use a fight with Tyrese as a way to reach this moment, I do get the feeling that we are headed towards it. As we have seen Rick begin to lose it over the last few episodes and we have also slowly seen him get more and more ruthless with just what he is willing to do. I think we will have a moment similar to the one in the comics by the end of the season, maybe even with the season ending on that key line.
