1. Rick Loses His Hand
Remember way back in this article when I said that the first time The Governor and Rick met someone lost a hand? Yeah, well, that was Rick. The Governor demands to know where they came from and how many are in Ricks group, when Rick lies and says that they didn't come from anywhere and are on their own, The Governor sees through it and tells him that he doesn't understand the situation. Then he proceeds to cut off Ricks hand. I think that this was one of the biggest moments in the comics as it showed that Rick was just as vunerable as any of the other characters and could even possibly die. But will it happen on the show, well I would really like it too as I think it would have the same effect that it did in the comics, of showing the audience that Rick is just as vunerable as everyone else in the show and that not even he is safe. However, I'm not sure if they will do it: Robert Kirkman has stated that he has always been annoyed that he cut his hand off so early becuase it makes it annoying to write for the character. Add to this the fact that having to greenscreen a stump instead of a hand in each week's episode, it would probably add considerably to what I'm guessing is already quite a large special effects budget. Saying that though I think it would be worth considering and an interesting thing to do to a lead charcter on a TV show. Plus it would be such a cool comic book and fan moment to include on the show. The Walking Dead returns on the Februrary 10th in America and on Februrary 15th in the UK.
