9. Ruining The Peace At Alexandria

Because he's an absolute nutter, Rick excelled as a leader following the fall of the prison. That period followed his group living in the wilderness for longer than they ever had before, giving in to their darker urges just to see another day. It was bleak, but Rick's ruthlessness kept them alive and made him more steadfast than ever.

Those darker qualities might have allowed him to flourish in the wild, but when the leader ended up in someone else's settlement in Season 5, they became a total liability. Welcomed into Alexandria - a walled community that had managed to avoid the horrors of the outside world - Rick and his friends immediately managed to disturb that peace and cause the whole thing to go to hell.

Moments after he showed up people started dying, while his role as a police officer essentially turned him into a brute who wanted to take control for himself.

This all culminated in a fistfight with Pete, a domestic abuser who admittedly deserved it. As he was want to do though, Rick went too far, causing a scene in the middle of the street, covered in blood and totally manic. It was so bad Michonne had to knock him out to make sure he didn't hurt himself or anyone else.
