8. Not Seeing That Trusting Jadis Was A Dumb Idea

As will become apparent as we move on with this list, Rick is terrible at making strategic decisions. He's also a bad judge of character, so when it came to enlisting help in the war against the Saviors, it's no surprise that he made a couple mistakes that got people killed.

His most bone-headed moves definitely had to do with Jadis and her band of Scavengers though. Despite them obviously being a bunch of shady people who have no real reason to help Alexandria, Rick recruits them. Surprise surprise, they would end up betraying him a few episodes later.

That was frustrating, but not enough to make it onto this list. What is enough is going back to the Scavengers again after this and expecting them to have had a change of heart... for no reason. With no plan, Rick walks straight into the compound, only to get knocked out, stripped, and forced into a fight to the death with a spiky zombie.

Even when he survives their ritual, he doesn't get what he needed, and this 'plan' only put him and everyone else in danger once again for no reason.
