The Walking Dead: 11 Major Moments From The Comics We Still Need To See

2. Negan Crippling Rick

While the climax of All Out War ultimately had Rick's band of survivors triumphing over Negan and his Saviours, it wasn't without casualties.

In their final showdown together, Rick slashes Negan's throat and forces him to surrender, but not before the villain manages to break his leg and effectively cripple him for the rest of the book.

Consequently, at the moment comic book Rick is a shell of his former self in many ways, no longer the indestructible hero he once was. In fact, the character's body has been through so much punishment that he's virtually useless on the battlefield, becoming more of a wise old Gandalf figure than an Aragorn.

Obviously the TV show is going to re-jig some moments from All Out War, but the trailers released so far have already teased Rick's injury by repeatedly putting the focus on a familiar looking cane that fans of the comic will no doubt recognise.
