The Walking Dead: 12 Best Cult Heroes

11. Jim

T-Dog The Walking Dead
AMC

Jim was a character way back in Season 1, long before the show was the crazy-hit it is today. He was largely a background character, but nonetheless an important one.

He narrowly escaped during the outbreak, with his wife and two children not being so lucky. Joining the survivors, he puts his past as a mechanic to good use by helping out with the vehicles, and kills a few walkers as well.

Due to a dream he can’t remember he starts digging holes, leading the rest of the group to be concerned about him, and later it becomes apparent that they were graves. He’s bitten in a walker attack and initially tries to hide it, but when the wound is discovered he asks to be left behind at a tree to die (and presumably reanimate).

Jim may not have lived a long life on the show - he didn’t get to do a whole bunch of crazy s**t, and you might not even remember him - but that’s the great thing about him. He was just quietly a hero.
