The Walking Dead: 15 Most Shocking Moments

5. Eenie-Meenie-Miny-Mo (Season 7)

The Walking Dead Michonne
Gene Page/AMC

This proved to be a turning point for many Walking Dead fans.

So, at the end of Season 6, we finally meet Negan himself, with an assortment of Alexandrian survivors in a semi-circle around him on their knees.

He proceeds to point at them with Lucille, singing a children's rhyme often used to decide things: Eenie-Meenie-Miny-Mo. Though from the shots of the characters, it's clear he's doing it at random, as he already had his initial victim planned. We then see, from a POV shot, that he does deliver a blow, and then a subsequent killing blow. But we don't see the person on the receiving end.

The cliffhanger was met with mixed response from fans, as it was a six-month wait before it was revealed to be Abraham that was bludgeoned. But, Negan also included a bonus to the horrific sight of Abraham's grey matter.

As a consequence for Daryl punching him, he then proceeds to kill Glenn; a fan-favourite character who had been with us from Season 1. Glenn and Abraham both managed to speak before they died. Abraham stayed true to form, and went down like a boss, saying "Suck my nuts".

Glenn's moment was more heart-wrenching, as he looked to his wife Maggie (Lauren Cohan) and told her that he'd find her, before receiving another blow from Lucille.
